What is Face Rebalancing?

Facial rebalancing using injectable dermal fillers is becoming extremely popular with those patients who don’t feel they require invasive surgery, but wish to feminise and enhance their facial features with subtle adjustments for a natural-looking improvement.

Of late, we are beginning to see many women who have had too much dermal filler, which can create a square or rectangular face, as opposed to an oval or heart shaped face (the ideal for a feminine appearance).

Face Rebalancing with Dermal Fillers

From her clinics in London, South Woodford in Essex and Brookmans Park near Hatfield Hertfordshire, Dr Anita Dhunna uses her many years in cosmetic medicine to help her patients rebalance their features using hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, and to assist them in rectifying a square visage, should they have had too much dermal fillers in the wrong areas of the face.

With Dr Anita Dhunna, it’s all about beautification of the face, using techniques only learned by true medical professionals who are esteemed experts in their field.

Facial beautification using dermal fillers begins with an initial consultation. This first meeting will enable you to discuss what really bothers you about your facial appearance and what you would like to see when you glance in the mirror. Dr Anita will assess your facial anatomy and any previous treatment you have had, so that she can make a detailed analysis of the procedure required, as well as the techniques and products she will use in order to provide you with the stunning results you are looking for.

Should Dr Anita Dhunna feel that a procedure is required to dissolve any existing dermal filler product, before your facial rebalancing treatment, she will advise you of this at the time. A special substance called Hyaluronidase is used in cases where existing product needs to be dispersed, leaving a ‘clean slate’ for Dr Anita Dhunna to work with. This will need to be administered prior to any dermal filler treatment. Dr Anita Dhunna will also check your medical history, to ensure a dermal filler treatment will be safe for you to undergo.

If both she and you are confident and happy to continue your facial rebalancing treatment using dermal fillers, you will then be able to book your appointment for the procedure.

Are there side effects to a dermal filler treatment?

Dermal filler procedures have come leaps and bounds in recent years and no longer do we regularly see intense bruising or swelling, as it is now more usual for an experienced medical practitioner to use a cannula, as opposed to a traditional needle, in many areas of the face.

A cannula tends to be used more when rebalancing the face, where the cheeks, chin, nose and jawline are treated. A cannula is a blunt-ended needle which slides and glides past vessels and veins within the facial region, thus reducing bruising or bleeding under the skin.
