Am I suitable for dermal fillers with Dr Anita Dhunna?
Before any injectable treatment can be performed, it’s essential to consult with Dr Anita Dhunna at either Harley Street, South Woodford or Brookman’s Park. This meeting will allow you to ask all the questions you have about your treatment and discuss the treatment at length with Dr Anita Dhunna, and for the doctor to examine your facial contours and check your medical history.
What happens during a dermal filler treatment?
Prior to the treatment, your skin will be cleansed thoroughly. A numbing ointment may be applied, depending on the areas to be treated. However, in many cases, numbing cream is not needed as the FDA approved fillers that Dr Anita uses contain Lidocaine, an injectable anaesthetic.
Small quantities of the dermal filler will be injected, either using a needle or a cannula (a blunt-ended needle which helps to minimise bruising).
You’ll see the initial results immediately, but be aware that there may be some bruising, swelling and slight tenderness after your procedure, and the full results will most likely be seen at around week 2, following your treatment.
How long will my dermal filler results last?
This is the question we are asked most, here at Dr Anita Dhunna’s clinics, and the truth is that it really depends on the areas you have had treated and your metabolism of the product.
If treatment areas include more passive features, such as the cheeks or temples, the results will last far longer than more dynamic areas such as the lips.
