Dermal fillers Chigwell

If you live in Chigwell and are seeking a non-surgical approach to anti-ageing and facial contouring, you may be interested in a treatment using dermal fillers with Dr Anita Dhunna. Dermal fillers can dramatically or subtly improve a wide-range of facial concerns, from re-shaping facial features and filling lines and wrinkles, to intensely hydrating the skin. Dr Anita Dhunna is a fully qualified medical aesthetic practitioner and her Essex clinic is a mere 15 minutes’ drive from the plush town of Chigwell and a short tube ride, so rejuvenating your looks could not be more convenient, quick and safe.

What are dermal fillers?

Simply put, dermal fillers do exactly what their name suggests. They are made from a gel-like substance and contain hyaluronic acid (HA), a super hydrator for the skin tissues. When injected in to the deeper layers of the skin, the viscose qualities of the dermal filler gel helps to lift and support the skin tissues, whereas the HA delivers continued moisture to the skin cells, as it can hold up to 1000 times its own weight in water and slowly releases this back, over time. Therefore, dermal fillers offer multi-beneficial effects for not only the structure of the facial features, but for the health, hydration and youthful glow of your skin.

What can dermal fillers do for me?

Dermal fillers offer a wide-range of benefits for anti-ageing. These include:-

• Full face lifting rejuvenation (the 8-point lift)
• Lip augmentation and re-shaping
• Chin and jawline contouring
• Cheek enhancement
• Adding volume to the temples
• Nose re-shaping (non-surgical rhinoplasty)
• Tear trough treatment (under eyes)
• Filling deeper static lines and furrows such as marionette lines and nasolabial folds
• Hand rejuvenation

Why should I choose Dr Anita Dhunna for my dermal filler treatment?

If you live in or around Chigwell and are thinking of having dermal fillers for the first time, it’s important to know that in an unregulated industry, there are many practitioners around who offer dermal fillers but are not medically trained to do so. This means that many treatments are not performed safely or using superior products. Dr Anita Dhunna has been practicing the art of dermal filler enhancement for many years and has all the medical qualifications and know-how to ensure that your dermal filler procedure is a safe and effective one. Her clinic in South Woodford is a short distance away; a mere 15 minutes in the car or 20 minutes on the tube from Grange Hill Station. There has never been a more convenient way to achieve a younger looking facial appearance in a safe environment, without surgical intervention.

Do dermal fillers hurt?

The dermal fillers that Dr Anita Dhunna uses (usually Juvéderm from Allergan) contain a product called Lidocaine. This is an injectable anaesthetic or ‘block’. Depending on the treatment you are having, Dr Anita Dhunna may also use a topical anaesthetic cream, to completely numb the area, before a needle comes close to it, so you can be sure of a comfortable treatment. Some slight tugging sensations may be experienced if she is using a cannula (a blunt-ended needle, more commonly used for many dermal filler treatments, as this helps reduce bruising), but the treatment should not be painful. If you are particularly sensitive or concerned, Dr Anita Dhunna may recommend pain relief such as Paracetamol, taken around 45 minutes prior to your dermal filler treatment, but this is usually not necessary.

When will I see the results of my dermal filler procedure?

As dermal fillers sit within the skin tissues, lifting and supporting them, most dermal filler treatment results can be seen immediately. You may need to take in to consideration some swelling which might occur, and allow a few days for this to subside, before seeing the final result, but you should experience a change in the shape or lift of the facial feature or the skin structure, straight away.

How long do the results last?

This all depends on the treatment you are having and your individual response to the dermal filler itself. Some results (such as those for lip augmentation) can last between 3 and 12 months, whereas a non-surgical nose job could give results for up to 18 months. It all depends on how your body metabolises HA. Certain lifestyle choices, such as excessive sun exposure, smoking and vigorous exercise can all shorten the longevity of some results. How you can maximise your results can be discussed with Dr Anita Dhunna in your initial consultation, which will need to be arranged before a treatment can be administered.

Dermal fillers offer a myriad of benefits for those wishing to improve and re-shape a certain facial feature, to look younger and to feel better in themselves.
