Skinvive by Juvederm: hydration from within
Skinvive is a hyaluronic acid injectable delivered as tiny microdroplets into the skin, rather than a traditional filler. It doesn’t change the shape or volume of the face. Instead, it works beneath the surface to improve hydration, smoothness and radiance, primarily across the cheeks.
In clinical trials, patients reported improved hydration for up to nine months and improved texture for up to six months after a single treatment, although individual results vary. Because it’s a skin quality treatment rather than a shaping one, it suits anyone who wants their skin to look healthier and more refreshed without any visible change to their features.
Juvederm Volbella: softening the lines above the mouth
The vertical lines that form above the upper lip, sometimes called smoker’s lines regardless of smoking history, are one of the more common concerns raised at consultation. They’re caused by a combination of repeated muscle movement, collagen loss and sun exposure, all of which are more pronounced after a summer outdoors.
Juvederm Volbella is a softer hyaluronic acid filler, designed for use in delicate areas such as the lips and the skin directly around the mouth. It’s approved for treating these perioral lines as well as for lip enhancement, and its lighter consistency is intended to give a natural, subtle result rather than a noticeable change in shape.
Hydration for the lips
The same product can also be used more generally to add softness and hydration to the lips themselves, without the fuller, more defined look associated with heavier dermal fillers. This makes it a popular choice for patients who want their lips to look naturally well hydrated, particularly after summer sun and heat have left them feeling dry.
As with all filler treatments, results are temporary and typically last between six and twelve months, depending on the individual and the area treated.
